  • Chris Giesken

    VP of Operations

    Chris Giesken

    Chris has done it all in the cast stone industry…estimating, estimating manager, CAD Drafter, technical advisor, sales and sales management, marketing and business development. Chris’ decades of experience are invaluable in his current role as VP Operations. Chris oversees sales, marketing and plant operation functions.

  • Tom Waldschmidt

    National Sales Director

    Tom Waldschmidt

    As National Sales Director, Tom is responsible for developing existing and new customer relationships throughout the country with Architects, General Contractors and Masons. Additionally, Tom is responsible for managing and building Midwest Cast Stone’s network of independent sales representatives throughout the United States. Tom also works with our Project Management and Estimating Groups to assist in current and upcoming projects.

    Tom has been in masonry sales since 2003 and prior to that spent seven summers in a brickyard assisting masons and customers in a variety of ways. Since joining Midwest Cast Stone in 2012, Tom has increased sales exponentially in the St. Louis and Columbia, MO and Southern Illinois markets and has added several key independent sales reps to our network. Tom received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and enjoys golf, hockey and hitting the gym when he is not traveling the US in search of new opportunities.

    Estimating Director

    David Warren

    Dave joined Midwest Cast Stone in 2010 and is responsible for all aspects of its Estimating Department. In addition to growing the bid volume for MCS, Dave ensures that its customers receive their proposals in time for them to incorporate Midwest Cast Stone’s pricing into their bids for a successful offering. Dave’s accuracy and efficiency in assembling the cast stone requirements of a project are unparalleled regardless of the size and complexity.

    Dave is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in Political Science and History. As a member of the United States Army, Dave served two tours of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom. When not pursuing his career in estimating, Dave enjoys traveling with his wife, KU sports and honing his skills as a gourmet chef.

  • Scott Mathews


    Scott Mathews

    Scott is co-owner of Midwest Cast Stone, Inc. and is primarily responsible for production, quality control and strategic planning.  His focus is improvement of manufacturing processes using LEAN manufacturing principles and tools.

    He is an active contributor to the industry trade organization, the Cast Stone Institute, serving on the Board of Directors and several work committees.  He also participates in the national ATSM C27 Precast Products subcommittee.

    Scott is a former attorney with experience in securities regulation and municipal finance law.  Following his legal career, he entered the commercial banking sector where he was responsible for Corporate Trust administration for UMB Bank.  Scott was instrumental in designing UMB’s first generation trust and escrow account management system.

    Scott has served on several philanthropic boards in the Kansas City community.  His outside interests are hiking, mountain biking, following the Kansas Jayhawks and spending time with his wife and three sons.

    Director of Human Resources

    Lisa Call

    Lisa’s primary responsibility is to be a self-motivated leader who serves as a liaison between employees and upper management. As Director of HR, Lisa manages all employee paperwork, attendance, time records, and benefits. Another key role is to serve as the Safety Coordinator, leading a team of managers and employees towards a more safe and healthy work environment. Lisa also assists other departments with various office tasks such as phones, bids, customer service, and much more.

    Lisa obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources before the age of twenty. She has continued to use that drive to benefit Midwest Cast Stone by developing our Human Resources Department, creating and managing the Safety Committee and playing an instrumental role in the development of our advanced computer systems which manage the flow of business throughout the organization. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys bowling, volunteering and her family and friends.
